The BJP obsessive compulsive disorder suffered by the media took an absurd turn with a new Modi spin that somehow Mr. Advani’s most trusted lieutanant was a threat to him.
Well Mr. Advani has taken the media head-on via his blog reminding them that they the media have no monopoly over the spin cycle and the power of the new media allows the people to get it first hand from their leaders while cutting out the middle man in the process.

We know there are many obscurantist ideas, superstitious beliefs and practices in our religion. But hinduism is a dynamic religion. There were and there are many evils cropped up and being practiced in our religion like untouchability, casteism, sati and many more. But we as individuals can stop practicing such evils ( at least in our own lives), and one day many of the ills and evils will be rooted out from our religion. But throwing the baby along with the bathwater is something absurd.

Funny thing is that since secular humanists believe in separation of church and state, in the Indian context they should be BJP voters because of the Uniform Civil Code agenda item and because Taslima Nasreen – another secular humanist – was not protected by the Indian Left.

There were great souls like Swami Vivekananda who came from Hindu culture on one side and there were crocked souls like Manu who sullied the Hindu code by introducing Chaturvana, on the other. So we have had them all and we now need to reform this Hindu way of life – for its own survival. Before overhauling BJP we need to first and foremost overall the leadership of RSS which is at the root of everything we Hindus think and do.

hUmDiNgEr : There were and still there are practices which are not in tune with time and totally against equity and justice prevailing in our Sanatana Dharma. The other day I read a news item that the priests washed the temple premises in some Orissa temple after some dalits entered the temple. I was really enraged by the despicable action of the priests. Do we really require such priests and temples. Our temples should be open to all hindus.
I never said that our Dharma ever sanctioned such practices. But these aberrations were occurred over a period of time due to the nefarious designs of certain vested interests. Our sacred books are mainly divided into two the srutis and smritis. Smritis can be changed as per the requirement of the time. Manusmriti is one among them. And by the way how many hindus follow Manusmriti. How many hindus have ever read Manusmriti. While reading Manusmriti I have found certain matters stated are contradictory (Perhaps interpolation by some vested interests to perpetuate their rule over others). This things are happening every time. Just see the present day Congress set up i.e. the dynastic rule. These things are aberrations.
I have just stated that these obscurantist practices should be discarded and the real Sanatana Dharma as enshrined in Vedas should be followed. The present day rulers, especially the Congress, are responsible for perpetuation of caste. Why not enact a law by which even mentioning of caste be made a cognizable offence. Hinduism is dynamic. Our dharma has place for even atheists and “secular humanists”. Our Sanatana Dharma can withstand the onslaught of all other rigid dogmas.

It has an astounding 1067 posts in the comments section where ‘for’ and ‘against’ comments are being posted for the last two and a half years!
What I concluded was that MFH’s dwgs are only symptomatic of how our society views Hinduism and our culture and traditions.
Mostly in a careless manner, often derogatory, and almost always in ignorance.
The media presently is accelerating our society’s drift in that direction.
In this scenario, won’t it be over-optimistic of us to assume that Hinduism will survive in the future intact.
Feelings of victimhood and self-deprecation should be only a transitory phase upon realising hard unpleasant facts, and should lead to thinking up solutions.
Passing over of the symptoms of societial/cultural decay as mere irritants or finding solutions to only the symptoms while not treating the underlying disease may turn out to be costly.
So, it may be necessary for Hindus and the Indian society to realize the seriousness of forces working to destroy its culture and tradition and ultimately, itself.

But saurav is only one like the many Hindus who go and adopt western ways due to either ignorance of disillusion with a wrong image of HInduism created by media and historians.
That is why it is important for true Hindus to recognize the drift of the society and take action to change it.
Just finding the good of Hinduism and criticising its critics and skeptics may not be enough.
There needs to be change in the consciousness of the society.
We need to find ways and means to achieve that.
Incognito – those 1000 odd comments are the problem. Mf hussain is insignificant and irrelevant as far as the future goes. He is 90plus and will soon die, with all due respect. The future has to do with how you keep this way of life alive and relevant. It calls for constant innovation and the distributed nature of this way of life has been producing these innovations from “art of living” to “baba ramdev” each serving the needs of a different constituency.
I am more concerned about governance and national interest than whether hindu way of life will survive.
Let us reform governance and secure national interest by reaffirming the primacy of Dharma the rest will follow.

1. Firstly I am sorry if I have offended anyone.
2. Secondly, my only intention to reflect my angst was there was intense frustration which caused me to take the step. People in India dont realize the things happening to them since they are exposed to Biased public, Biased Media and Biased opinions. It is only we people abroad who can think objectively since we are not that much into a biased environment. And from here we can clearly see what is the condition of Hindus and what will be the condition of the future for us.
If my angst has caused even a single Soul in Hindu sect to understand the wrongs we are doing and how much important it is to reform the religion to make it more strong and aggressive then I will say that my time was well spent yesterday.
3. Offstumped talks about Dharma.
Let me tell you what is Dharma,
Lord Krishna says “O Arjuna. It does not become you. Shake off this base faint-heartedness and arise, O scorcher of enemies!’
Dharma – It is the Dharma not to kneel down to enemies. It is the Dharma to fight and defeat the enemies. It is the Dharma to destroy them if required.
Do you Lord Krishna did not even have dinner with Duryodhana since he said I have food and friendship with only those people who follow Dharma.
Let me tell you, for 1000 years Muslims have killed nearly approximately 80 Million hindus for some estimates.
2nd point, Muslims stole our land – Afghanistan, Pakistan and bangladesh and still we asked the same people to remain in our land WITH FULL KNOWLEDGE WHERE their loyalty lies….was that Dharma?.
Today those same Muslims in India are denigrating our Culture and religion and we watch the same movies of SRK, AAMIR khan and help them break records…….Is that Dharma what we are following?..
If we ourselves go into the path of Adharma then even Lord cannot save us.

My issues with saurav’s writing. – His writing followed a pattern.
a) He made extreme right wing statements. He used Narendra Modi as an excuse to blast L.K.Advani. Some of his statements were downright ridicule.. The above is still OK. everyone to their opinion.
b) He turned sides all of a sudden.Today he says he moved from Hinduism to christionity. This is also fine..It is his opinion.
Both the above individually dont have any harm. But, you combine both of them together. It has the honings of a strategy. Use the excuse of extreme right-wing sentiments to actually make a guy feel inferior abt being Hindu..
Tht persuades me , that, saurav is not what he seems to be be..

I too got that email with the online petition, I blasted the senders and right now, I have purchased AIRTEL AND RELIANE MOBILE sim cards to show my solidarity to the final awakening of our industralists.
I am to use these SIM cards hereon.
I drew inspiration from a friend of mine who wanted to change his car and was much inclined towards buying some other model, opted for Ratan Tata’s Indica Vista . This guy can afford to buy a car worth 15 lacs atleast and it puzzled me on why did he settle for a car worth 4 lacs. He told me that finally one the corporate captains has taken the right decision, used the right words and he is following the path of truth ,I want to thank him and what better way to thank him then buying his product.
I have just replicated what my friend has done. And the day of the stupid petition I will use these cards and allow anybody to make end number of calls at my expense.

I am desperately hoping that Congress will bite the dust in the LS polls. Congress tall must not exceed 130. Now it appears to me Congress will hit around 160, and BJP around 115.Any body, everybody please write to BJP leadership with ideas to take the electoral agenda away from Congress, on how to rubbish that ant-Hindu Macauly-Mullah-Marxist combine. Time is of essence now,only three moths. A revealing aside : SRK, Azharuddin to join Congress. Congress again in power, bye bye Hindu people and culture. But BJP appears to have given up the fight even before the battle is joined.
Mr Advani has personally relegated the Hindu leadership in Punjab to a number 3 spot in Punjab due to some dubious promise by cm PD Badal.
