Praveen Swami writing in The Hindu has glossed over what is an explosive fact.
If the two vigilante individuals that the Maharashtra ATS is making out to be the key to Malegaon and previous bombings then nobody bears greater responsibility than former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh.
It is stunning that The Hindu has sought to absolve Digvijay Singh by making merely a passing reference to his claims while simultaenously accusing the Uma Bharati BJP Government of having let the duo off.
The facts however are different. Uma Bharathi took office only in December 2003 but here is Digvijay Singh on 12th September of 2003 when he was very much the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.
With just two months remaining for the Assembly elections, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh’s comment that the RSS was making bombs and planting them, has become a major controversy in the state.
The state BJP is livid with Digvijay for refusing to take the matter to deputy Prime Minister L K Advani as he, too, was a member of the RSS. Sources in the BJP said that the party was readying itself to launch a scathing attack on the chief minister’s “baseless and irresponsible remark”.
Digvijay, while addressing a function organised by the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (Minorities Cell) on September 7, had said, “We have concrete proof that the RSS members are receiving arms training in neighbouring states and are manufacturing and planting bombs.”
He further said that an RSS member, who was an accused in the murder of a Congressman and his son in Mhow, had “confessed” to having planted bombs at the Bhopal railway station last year.
In December 2002, two improvised explosive devices in two bags were recovered in a shamiana outside platform number one at the station. At the time, the station was packed with Muslim devotees attending the Ijetama (a Muslim spiritual gathering) in Bhopal.
The state police had failed to trace the culprits at the time, but nine months later, Digvijay claimed that was the handiwork of the RSS.
Meanwhile, reacting to Digvijay’s allegation, the BJP’s chief ministerial candidate Uma Bharti asked, “In which neighbouring states of Madhya Pradesh are bombs being made by the RSS? Is it Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat or Uttar Pradesh? If the chief minister has proof of the RSS being a threat to the country’s internal security, he should inform the Union home ministry immediately. I invite the chief minister to come with me to New Delhi. Let him submit a complaint to Advani.”
But Digvijay, who has repeatedly said he had “evidence” of the RSS making bombs, refused to take the complaint to Advani. “What’s the use taking it to Advani? He’s a member of the Sangh himself,” he said.
“If he can’t discuss the matter with the Deputy Prime Minister of the country, where does Digvijay Singh plan to take his complaint on the internal security of India?” asked an irate state BJP spokesman Kailash Vijayavargiya.
So here is Digvijay Singh acknowledging that 9 months after the December 2002 blasts in which Sunil Joshi and Kalsangram were the accused he had concrete evidence of their involvement and a confession.
Further accusations were made on September 15th 2003 by Suresh Pachouri of the Madhya Pradesh Congress
“The police investigation and subsequent arrests linked with the recent murder of the Congress leader, Pyare Singh Ninama, and his son in Indore district and the questions subsequently raised by the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Digvijay Singh, are a clear pointer that the RSS is bent upon disturbing peace,” Mr. Pachouri stated
This raises the questions:
- What did the Digvijay Singh Congress Government do for 9 months after the December 2002 incident ?
- Why did Digvijay Singh bring this up on the eve of elections in a political forum ?
- What exactly did he do as Chief Minister if his Government was in posession back in 2003 of concrete evidence and a confession from one of the two accused in the current Malegaon case ?

Damp squib of first order.
It appears, this old issue is now resurrected by Digvijay Singh and Rahul Baba. Guess, again it will prove to be damp squib.
Even during Gujarat 2007 Diggy raja went to town about ‘ Hindu terrorism’. Here again with the spectre of elections Digvijay Singh has fallen back on that old bogey.
Last evening was a good show on SAhara Samay (MUmbai) – the RKB Show – which was extremely critical of the Maharashtra ATS tactics, the guest was Dr. Subramanian Swamy, who spoke very well! All the points that we discuss here were mentioned – attempt to put Hindus on the defensive, dragging this case on till the elections even without a shred of evidence, pathetic attempts to cover up lapses on narco analysis (the yoga excuse) etc. Dr. Swamy was also commended for being the only legal hurdle in the way of the demolition of the Ram SEthu.
Ravindra:
Yeah good show he even showed a clipping of Mrs Purohit in that show.
Did u happen to see IndiaTV yesterday night? They were showing a video of a funtion held under the aegis of Abhinav Bharat which showed Sadhvi, Himani Savarkar, Dayanand Pandey, Sameer Kulkarni, Swami Asimanand and someone called Tapan da sharing the dais. The reporter was almost having an orgasm on seeing this video. Later when Prakash Jawdekar came on line he categorically asked whether ATS had supplied them this video which the reporter was repeatedly denying. Himani Savarkar came on line and denied that she knew these people from before and said that that was the first time she had met him which the reporter found it hard to believe.
Much later the ‘icon of secularism’ Shakeel Ahmed came on line and saud investigations should not be hampered with etc etc.
The date of this meeting was 10 April 2008.
There is no “Aaj ka taja leak” from ATS today. Hence the chamcha media is running a special show on Politics Vs Malegaon. After all, they being seculars, have to keep the issue fresh till the elections. They are amply rewarded, and will be rewarded if Congress comes to power.
After losing power DS don’t know what to utter. Like a rabid dog he has lost his mental balance. During Gujarat elections he called hindus as terrorists. He is just an HMV. He has to be more faithful than the king. He does not know what he is uttering.
After sixteen long years two Christian priests and one nun were arrested in connection with the alleged murder of Sr. Abhaya.
The Magistrate directed the CBI not to harass them mentally or physically during the interrogation. A very good instruction.
But what about Sadhvi Pragya. She has filed an affidavit averring that she was tortured mentally, physically etc., When she says she sustained bruises due to torture why no medical examination was carried out.
In another case I have seen a news item where it was reported that the concerned officials allowed the visit of human rights activists and members from the minority community to confirm that the confessions were obtained voluntarily.
Today there is the editorial “Advani changes his mind” in the Indian Express. This is in response to Advance speaking up against the alleged torture of the Sadhvi in custody. Does that mean Indian Express agrees with torture of those arrested with third degree methods. The newspaper has a moral responsibility to say either way. Advani has never objected for a proper probe. His objection is for torture. Whether Indian Express wrote any editorial when Cabinet ministers supported terrorist organisation SIMI, when they visited the house of parents of terrorism accused Bashir at Azamgarh or when the University Vice Chancellor proposed to defend the terrorism accused out of the funds of the University. These are OK, but if it involves any Hindu then it is against principle.
But what is different in Sadhvi Pragya case. She is Hindu. She has no human rights according to the media, government, right activists whether human or women. Hindus have no claim on the resources of India. They cannot be treated as humans.
Posters have started appearing in Chennai asking for reinvestigation of all bomb blasts right from 1992 Mumbai blasts. Some organization called “Popular Front of India” has pasted the posters and they have organized some public meeting also on the issue.
The popular front of India is a front for banned islamist organizations, including SIMI.

obviously, the script writers of the ATS drama had some objectives, and stoking this paranoia is one of them. Let them ask for investigation of 9/11, Madrid and London as well.
MK Dhar’s timely and imp. article. A definite read.

Haha Shaan..What a show this is turning out to be. I want more ..Ye dil mange more…I want everyone in the media to turn against BJP, RSS,VHP etc., Keep on showing more and more half truths, lies and whatnot. This is the best time simply because either we win or else we will be doomed now. There will be no middle path from this henceforth. If I was Diggy Raja, I would say Purohit was involved in all the riots in India starting from Anti Hindi riots in TN to 1984 sikh riots to 1992 riots to Mumbai Blasts to 9/11 in US.
The best day would be if someone from ATS were to say that Purohit is mastermind of 9/11. Immediately, congress will welcome Osama as a honoured guest to India and Barkha would be interviewing him with your orange kurta and black pants with a permanent smile on her face asking how it feels to be vindicated after so long? WOW WOW oh my GOD this is superb.
Elections in 2009 will be a watershed in Indian politics. Either we hindus will be doomed or else we will be on top. I pray its the latter.
bhanu,
that video is now available on the website of CNN-IBN. They say it has been found by the ATS. Wonder who keeps giving out to the media all the evidence that the ATS is able to lay its hands on. What is the objective of the ATS – that the media should conduct a trial of its own?
Why can’t the ATS keep its mouth shut and refrain from leaking anything to the media until something conclusive evidence is proved in the court of law? This could be amounting to character assassination.
The election is indeed a Dharmyudh of sorts. It’s a fight for the very survival of our Dharm and we are up against Extermination of an entire race. BJP cannot/should not afford to be complacent.
I disagree with some posters here on the backfiring of P-sec/MSM spin theories. Their strategy might not have worked well in Gujarat, but surely will in the rest of the Nation. After all, what they say goes out to the entire Nation including in vernacular media and the World as the NEWS AND CURRENT AFFAIRS. Moreover if you look at the way they present, they surely have a battery of Shrinks behind each story uploaded into our minds. MSM propaganda should not be under-estimated at any cost.
I am almost sure that the P-sec Media will come out with a last-minute assault trying to create a negative wave of sorts against BJP aka in Gujarat, just before first round of elections. BJP needs to be ultra-cautious.
Well Well Well the MCOCA has been invoked just to keep the accused in the jail when all other efforts at muzzling them are failing. Let us see what next this farcial probe brings to fore! A well grounded attempt to counter the issue of terrorism by THE UPA at a great cost to the nation.

{Please Note that Abu Salem is not being charged under MCOCA}
On a day when First Class Judicial magistrate (JFMC) GG Itkalkar remanded Purohit to police custody in a forgery and cheating case till November 21, Purohit’s counsel charged that by demanding his client’s police custody repeatedly, the ATS wanted to show Purohit had committed more than three offences so that it could project him as a member of an organised crime syndicate, a pre-requisite for booking a person under MCOCA.
Purohit’s counsel also charged that the ATS was drumming up charges against his client. Given his exceptional credentials as a serving Army officer who had participated in many military operations, including operation Vijay and Operation Rakshak, and had killed many terrorists during his career, it was sad that the ATS was terming Purohit as an anti-national, defence counsel said.
Purohit’s counsel also produced a set of commendations and a document showing that he had been invited by the ATS to deliver a lecture on terror combat techniques.
(courtesy BR)
(contd)Alluding to a complaint filed by a Pune resident against Purohit that the latter had produced fake documents to help the former obtain an arms licence, Shivde said that Pune resident Shirish Date had with the help of Purohit got an arms licence way back in 2005, why did not the ATS not take action against the complainant assuming that he did not possess a valid arms licence.
Dwelling on the manner in which his client was being harassed by the investigating agencies, Shivde told mediapersons that the CBI and Haryana police had at one stage handed out deaths to Purohit.
Ahead of the production of Purohit before Pune’s Shivajinagar court, there were hundreds of activists belonging to various Hindu organisations raising slogans expressing their solidarity with him.
As he was being escorted back to the ATS van after the court remanded him to police custody for two days in forgery and cheating case, the Hindu activists showered rose petals on the officer and raised slogans of ”Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji” and “Purohit Tum Aage Bado Hum Saath Hain”. Giving a new twist to the Malegaon blast case, Purohit on Wednesday alleged in a Pune court that he was being victimised for “political reasons” as he was in possession of information pertaining to SIMI and ISI that could embarrass some quarters.
Purohit’s counsel Srikant Shivde alleged that the officer was in possession of intelligence data of a “sensitive nature” regarding SIMI and ISI operations and could even be eliminated.
Meanwhile, a Pune court remanded Abhinav Bharat activist Sameer Kulkarni, an accused in the Malegaon blast case, to police custody for a day in a case involving the alleged attack on a Christian leader in 2007.
The remand felicitated the Khadki police to question Kulkarni for a day in question with in connection with a case lodged against him in 2007 for allegedly being a part of the group that assaulted Pastor Peter David Silway of Vineyard Workers’ Church.
Like in the case of Purohit, hundreds of activists belonging to Hindu organisations had turned out in a large numbers to express their solidarity with him. They raised vociferous slogans for Kulkarni.
Meanwhile, the probe into how Hindu outfits accused of terrorism had links with some Armymen brought a few business houses under the scanner of Maharashtra’s ATS and Central Security agencies investigating the finances of the group allegedly responsible for Malegaon blast.

Please Vote for BJP in coming Loksabha election . Other wise sub ki sunnat hogi(source rediff MB)
It appears that the prime targets of this tamasha are not political organizations but religious sanaatan ones such as those running charitable and social work in Tribal Gujrat and reconverting xtian converts back to their native faiths.
The fact that links have been found to Guj spiritual org heads and theior donors (businesses) are enough giveaway. First they use their maoist buddies to assasinate Swami laxmananad. Then their MH ATS buddies to falsely raid Guj ashramsand arrest Guj yindoo social workers.
The timing has everything to do with the fact that should this sickular UPA sarkar lose (as is likely) in the next polls, the entire yoshua/evangelical project in yindia will be set back by yrs, possibly decades. Also, the economic crisis in the west is constratiing their $$$ pumped in.
The matter is fast moving to end game stage. The high security level meet called in Dilli will likely anounce the banning of VHP/Bajrang Dal, IMHO. And put constraints on the freedom of the RSS. Have to give the psecs credit fro their brazenness and audacity, dept in which the shameless commies never lagged behind anyway.
But, Vinaash kaale vipreet buddhi.
What goes around, comes around. The next poll will see NaMo at the center as HM (lez hope and pray!). The xisting laws on the books are enough to put many of the phoren based orgs, NGOs and prosletyzing fraudsters out of business, perhaps permanently.
Jai Bharat
Digvijay should be punished for all his idiotic, illogical and anti-national statements.
Look at this report by “Slimes of India”, on the condition of Purohit’s family-

@ Sud,
What goes around, comes around. The next poll will see NaMo at the center as HM (lez hope and pray!). The xisting laws on the books are enough to put many of the phoren based orgs, NGOs and prosletyzing fraudsters out of business, perhaps permanently.
Lez hope pray and MOST IMPORTANT … GO OUT AND VOTE……..we talk loud mouth about our rights… lets all come together and perform our DUTY of voting atleast this ONE time… this will probably be the turning point in history of Indian Democracy and lets vote to make it the RIGHT turn. BJP in absolute majority, LKA as PM and Namo as HM…..
Given its ideological preferences, it is understandable why the mainstream media does not want to publicize Singh’s remarks and put Congress in the dock.
If our democracy is to truly flourish, we need media that offers diverse points of view, and not just the view of the left-liberal. IMHO, when it comes to the media, the Right does not have the same firepower as the Congress and the Left.
This state of affairs is indeed surprising if you consider the fact that BJP is the second-largest party in Parliament!
This is an issue that BJP and its ideological cousins can ignore at their own peril. How about promoting a sympathetic pan-India newspaper/news channel for a start?
By politicizing this issue the ATS has sowed the seeds for further religious discord. The media aids them in this by displaying Hindu symbols along with images of bomb blasts. Why nobody has sued the media entities that displayed Hindu religious symbols in this manner? Is it not hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus? Cases have been filed against Karunanidhi for his remarks on Ram during the Sethu row alleging hurting of religious sentiments but nobody has sued the media. The media companies can be very well sued for hurting religious sentiments and even for harming religious harmony. As I said before, we need to form a body of lawyers to handle these matters. Anybody out there to take the initiative?
Yes, Shaan a desh bakht has already posted this letter.
