The political reality does not change as a result of this vote one bit for any of the principal players. The chessboard remains where it was before the confidence vote. The Left still has its reverses in West Bengal and Kerala to deal with. The Congress still has the reality of Andhra being the only major state where it is the principal force to reckon with. Mayawati still has the reality of being a UP only player stuck between 40 and 60 Lok Sabha seats to draw contentment with. The BJP still has the reality of a Uttar Pradesh yet to be regained and incumbency and Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan staring it in the face.
If there is anything of consequence it is the momentum with which the Nuclear deal moves from the IAEA to the U.S. Congress but beyond that lies a big black hole called the U.S. General Elections. In all likelihood the UPA will dissolve parliament and call elections right after the Nuclear Deal heads to Capitol Hill.

I can not for the life imagine that someone in the BJP did not know how to use a CD copier and make like 200 copies of that CD! Heck, with politics hitting the all-time low that it is, I would have mailed one to every reasonably sized media outlet in the nation. It is only for a limited amount of time where they can try and play it through the IBN/speaker’s investigation, then they need to act!

The larger issue is media accountability, its having become a stooge of the government, and the corruption spreading like wildfire in the media. Let us not conflate “Hindu” issues with these issues.
Your suggestion is actually right. There needs to be activism directed against corporate houses questioning why they are funding political brokers like the Prannoy Roys and the Sardesais. However, the effectiveness of that activism is questionable. Indian capitalism is not quite evolved like in the West. Corporates are about as deferential towards consumers as politicians are towards voters.
Still, an idea worth giving a try.
