On the 6th of July 2007 Manmohan Singh reminded us of the grave perils of having an electile dysfunctional surrogate for a Prime Minister.
To date his government continues to cut an apologetic sorry figure in bringing the perpetrators of the 7-11 Mumbai Blasts to justice.
As Sonia Gandhi’s sphinx like silence continues to haunt the memories of 7-11 victims, Offstumped revisits how New York, London and Madrid investigated and prosecuted attacks of Mass Terror in stark contrast to the dead end of Justice Mumbai finds itself at?on the second anniversary of the 7-11 commuter train serial bomb blasts.
How New York London and Madrid shamed Mumbai ??
Its a month since the serial commuter train blasts in Mumbai struck terror in the heart of its residents and took more than 200 lives. On the eve of this first monthly anniversary of this ghastly terrorist act it is imperative that Indians at large reflect on how New Yok, London and Madrid fared in the first 30 days following the serial terrorist strikes on those cities and contrast it with how we are faring on Mumbai. The stark reality of the facts says it all.
First New York, Sept11th to Oct 11th Offstumped relates the events across the first 30 days based on the 9/11 Commission’s findings.
Sept 11 – 4 planes hijacked and used as terror weapons
Sept 12 – Hijackers passports found
Sept 13 – Bin Laden connection alleged
Sept 14 – 18 Hijackers were named and identified
Mid September – Credit Card transactions and multiple residences of hijackers identified
Sept 19 – U.S. Congress starts debate on Patriot Act to empower government
Sept 20 – Homeland security role created
Sept 24 – bank accounts frozen and financiers identified
Sept 28 – suicide notes of hijackers found
Oct – Evidence of Bin Laden’s connection to 9/11 established
Next Madrid 11th March to April 2004, Offstumped relates across the first 30 days based on the BBC’s coverage of the Madrid Train bombings.
11th March – 10 bombs explode on commuter trains
13 March: Five men are arrested in connection with a mobile phone found inside a bag of explosives which failed to go off.
14 March: A video claiming responsibility for the attack purporting to be from al-Qaeda’s military spokesman in Europe is uncovered.
18 March: Five men are arrested over the Madrid attacks – four Moroccans and a Spaniard.
20-21 March: More suspects arrested in separate raids.
23 March: Four men arrested on 18 March are remanded in custody.
24 March: Syrian man arrested.
26 March: Another suspect, Moroccan Faisal Alluch is provisionally charged with collaborating with a terrorist group.
30 March: Spain names an Islamist extremist group, the Moroccan Islamic Combatant Group, as the main focus of the Madrid investigatio
31 March: Spain issues international arrest warrants for five Moroccans and a Tunisian
3 April: Four suspects wanted for the Madrid train bomb attacks die during a police raid on an apartment in Leganes,
5 April: Officials announce two more arrests – one in Madrid, the other in Ceuta.
7 April: Two Moroccans are detained and provisionally charged with terrorism offences.
12 April: Three more suspects arrested:
26 April: The interior ministry issues five new arrest warrants – and the pictures of the suspects wanted in connection with the attacks.
Now let us look at London, from July 7th to August 7th, 2005 based on Offstumped’s analysis of Report of the Official Account of the Bombings in London 7th July 2005.
7th July – Bomb blasts in London metro stations and 1 bus
12th July – Police narrow down suspicion to premises in West Yorkshire linked to 3 of the bombers. Police also identify CCTV images of the 4 bombers
14th July – Police confirm identity of 2 bombers public
16th July – Police confim identity of the other 2 bombers to public
21 July – British Cabinet reviews lessons learnt from the investigation of the July 7th bombings
Now contrast this with July 11th Mumbai 2006 to August 11th Mumbai 2006.
July 11th – Bomb blasts on Mumbai local trains first class compartments killing more than 200 people
July 11th – Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh says spirit of Mumbai will prevail.
July 12th – Maharashtra Deputy CM RR Patil says blasts a conspiracy of a foreign terrorist group
July 12th – Mumbai Commissioner AN Roy confirms a large number of arrests during overnight raids, with around 350 interrogations.
Maharashtra DGP PS Pasricha says -e-Taiba can be involved going by the style of attack
July 13th – Cops draw up sketches of 4 suspects
July 13th – Nepal police nab 2 in kathmandu with possible Mumbai link but later release them
July 13th – India puts off peace talks with Pakistan
July 14th – sketches of 3 suspects released to press
July 14th – India warns pakistan on terror
July 15th – Maharashtra BJP Leader Gopinath Munde moves privilege move in state assembly against DGP and Commissioner shooting their mouth off on who is responsible
July 16th – Anonymous report in media claims forensics analysis points to maybe Ammonium (Nitrate) was used. Police have interrogated over 1000 people
July 16th – Ex-HSBC worked was linked to LeT and media speculates on Mumbai connection
July 16th – More anonymous leaks to media that ATS has a list of 10 suspects and that IB has more intelligence on those who executed the plan
July 17th – More anonymous news stories on explosives used and timing devices used
July 18th – , ATS Chief K P Raghuvanshi the blasts were engineered by elements `beyond borders’ and executed with the help of local anti-national elements.
July 19th – RR Patil Maharashtra is not adequately equipped to handle terror strikes of this magnitude.
July 20th – 3 men from Bihar with Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal links and gunpowder arrested
July 22nd – More anonymous stories on ATS probing phone call records of suspects
July 25th – Engineer arrested
July 28th – 2 more arrests
July 28th – Senior Inspector J.K. Hargude, laid out his findings. Hargude and his police colleagues have refused to detail the role of the Shaikh brothers and other suspects in the July 11 bombings. But he described their arrest as a major turning point in the case and said that the men were naming more names. The chief of the Mumbai police antiterrorist squad, K.P. Raghuvanshi six of the eight men arrested in the past two weeks had confessed to going to Pakistan for arms and explosives training. Precisely how the eight men are linked to each other, and more important, to the July commuter train blasts that killed more than 180 people, remains unclear. No one has been charged in the attacks
July 31 – Journalist is arrested
1st Aug – India and Pakistan agree to pursue peace talks
2nd Aug – Pakistan refuses to arrest LeT chief
4th Aug – Alleged LeT Militant arrested in J&K linked to Mumbai
5th Aug – India and Pakistan expel diplomats in tit for tat action
8th August – Times of India reports of ATS stumbling
So there you have it folks. One month on when New York, Madrid and London not just identified the perpetrators and arrested them but even analysed what went wrong and filed charges, we in Mumbai have been fed with political chest thumping, inspired leaks and bunch of arrests leading to nowhere. 30 days on we dont know who executed the blasts, who planned the blasts and who supplied and sponsored the blasts and why.
In the meantime Manmohan Singh was busy reminding us why we dont need POTA, why we should maintain communal harmony, why Mumbai is resilient. Manmohan Singh also managed to display anger and offense at Jaswant Singh and expel Natwar Singh. Sonia Gandhi meanwhile displayed characteristic sphinx like silence breaking it to criticize the BJP and demand that Muslim interests not be harmed while dealing with Terrorism. Mr. LK Advani meanwhile reminded us that why POTA would have solved it all and why Somnath Chaterjee should quit as speaker and why Natwar was made scapegoat by the Congress. Prakash Karat has been busy demanding U.S. Nuke deal be abandoned, Reliance investigated and why Israel should be sanctioned for attacking Lebanon over Hezbollah.
Offstumped Bottomline: Shame on you Manmohan Singh for not displaying the seriousness expected of a Prime Minister in dealing with Terror while going out of your way to express offense on the Jaswant episode. Shame on you Sonia for perking up your conscience only when it comes to personal issues like the Office of Profit or Rajiv Gandhi and otherwise maintaining a sphinx like silence on terrorism while subverting the fight against terrorism with the muslim bogey.
Offstumped remembers the 200 odd victims with this poem by Rabindranath Tagore:
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake

Another hard-hitting one Yossarin. Incompetence is the middle name of Maharashtra State Govt. and Mahengai Singh’s “Un Performer’s Association”.
Guys
see how China is dealing with these guys.

Yossarin….
I SALUTE you for this brilliant write up.
I was trapped at Jogeshwari station, where one of the blasts took place, although was at the southern end of the platform and the blast took place at the northern end.
However, I saw the carnage with my own eyes and assisted in removal of bodies.
I will never, ever forget the sights of that day.
This government will pay not only for the 200 lives martyred that day but for the other 4000 odd lives that have been smoked out, coz of their Minority appeasement.
I know it for sure that if the Mumbai Police is given a free hand, the perpetrators will be behind bars or done with in no time, alas, the political establishment wants to keep them under tight leash.
Its hard on everyone including the COPS, who are not allowed to perform.
This how in sensitive the UPA government can get with the victims of the Mumbai Blasts:
“Railways recovering interest from blast victims”
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Return_interest_paid_with_compensation_for_711/articleshow/3216336.cms
FYI, The Railway Tribunal, that has announced an ex gratia payment, had put a rider, that any compensation delayed will have to be paid with a 6% interest, the centre ( UPA govt) had challenged this order.
Now that we are on terrorism, enjoy this article by NVS. His contempt for WomanMohan Singh comes out openly.

Fair-weather friend
In Afghanistan, the US is of little help to India, says N.V.Subramanian.
10 July 2008: When more than one eighty people perished in the Bombay commuter train explosions in July 2006, this magazine took the position that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should have stayed away from the subsequent G-8 summit to protest unremitting Pakistani terrorism. The National Security Advisor, M.K.Narayanan, declared that evidence was available of Pakistani intelligence involvement in the blasts. Staying away from the summit would have registered India’s strong protest at the world powers’ inability or disinclination to curb Pakistani terrorism.
But Manmohan Singh, the eternally genuflecting bureaucrat that he remains, despite occupying India’s most powerful office, went. Because he went in spite of a terrible national tragedy, automatically the tragedy got discounted at the G-8, and the summit finally platitudinized against terrorism, and tokenly grieved for India. Not a word against Pakistani terrorism. Indeed, the United States’ arrogant under-secretary of state, Richard Boucher, asked India to “find the evidence” against Pakistan, meaning that he disbelieved India had any. He added that “no country has done more than Pakistan in the ongoing fight against terrorism…And no country has lost more people than Pakistan.” Narayanan, the Indian NSA, raged against Boucher, but could do little else. Pakistani terrorism against India went uncontained, even uncondemned, once again.
Two years later, history has repeated itself. As Manmohan Singh was leaving for another G-8 summit, and another round of supplication to the United States, this time for the Indo-US nuclear deal, the Indian embassy in Kabul was suicide bombed, killing the military attaché and the political counselor, two ITBP jawans, and forty other people. Perhaps, the PM should have stayed home, which would be impossible given his unseemly haste to fast-forward the nuclear deal with President George W.Bush. But clean forgetting the tragedy in Kabul, the PM was caught on news TV alternatively bowing and scraping before Bush and giggling like a schoolgirl, while the US President lorded about, legs sprawled out like the Texan he is, completing the picture of The Boss.
Manmohan Singh’s unabashed endorsement of Indo-US relations was what made the whole interaction nauseating for what has followed. “India and the United States must stand tall, shoulder-to-shoulder, and that’s what is going to happen,” the PM said. “Our relationship with the United States has never been in such good shape as it is today.” If that were so, the US should have paid some heed to India’s conviction of Pakistani involvement in the Kabul embassy attack. Good friends respect one another’s sensitivities. But the United States has a different measure of friendship, considering its flat denial, made today, of any foreign (read Pakistani) involvement in the embassy blast. “I haven’t seen any evidence or proof that foreign agents were involved (in the embassy attack),” the US defence secretary, Robert Gates, said at a Pentagon briefing.
Pakistan fears even Indian humanitarian presence in Afghanistan (also read Commentary, “Wakeup call,” 7 July 2008). The United States and NATO are anxious not to annoy Pakistan, whose military has battled the Taliban and Al-Qaeda intermittently, reluctantly and sometimes treacherously. Often the US has accused Pakistani troops of looking the other way of Taliban/ Al-Qaeda attacks on NATO forces. Last month, the US bombed Pakistani paramilitary troops that it accused of permitting attacks on US forces in Afghanistan. And yet, following the Indian embassy attack, and the suicide bombing in Pakistan to mark one year of the Lal Masjid operation, US and NATO commanders are spreading the word that the Taliban is pitting rivals Pakistan and India against one another. It is an interesting theory, but it is a little more complex.
Pakistan is in a situation of political meltdown. The elected government is weak and divided. Perhaps the Pakistan military is also splintered between those that support the President, Parvez Musharraf, and those the army chief, General Ashfaq Kayani, although on the surface, unity is preserved. There are internal reports that the notorious Pakistani ISI is once against running loose and renegade. Civil society, such as remains in Pakistan, is split for or against the government, judiciary, Musharraf, the military, and the jihadis, and atop that, jihadi terrorism has become an endless nightmare. Jihadi groups have also proliferated and their command and control by Pakistani intelligence has assumed the contours of a second state. In this situation, while the elected Pakistani government may have no role in or intimation of the Indian embassy attack, elements in the Pakistani military intelligence establishment would have been key players. A parallel cannot be established between the Indian embassy bombing and the Lal Masjid anniversary attack. One is a neighbourhood issue and the other is internal to Pakistan.
The point is this. While the United States/ NATO desperately need India’s military presence in Afghanistan, India should go in for its own hard strategic purpose to secure Jammu and Kashmir and the rest of the country from Pakistani/ Taliban/ Al-Qaeda terrorism. If the nuclear deal goes through, India will be bracketed as an US ally, and terrorist attacks will grow. That is no reason to quit on the deal (other than on its merits), but clearly, the US won’t defend Indian interests in Afghanistan, especially if it comes at the cost of antagonizing Pakistan. So, to avenge the embassy bombing, and to advertise its future role in Afghanistan, India must take pro-active steps in the manner Israel would in a similar situation. Obviously, what steps those are, and the assets to deploy, are best left to Indian government agencies to determine. Political will is needed. Genuflecting to the US will keep India weak and defenceless to protect its vital interests in the region.

My humble tributes to the ‘innocent’ victims of the train blasts. Last year on this day i happened to be in Mumbai and visited Khar (W) Station to pay my respects, like many more people. I could sense their grief and share the ‘impotent rage’ in most of those who lost their kins and in those too, who managed to survive.
‘Yossarin’ I share with you this justified ‘outrage’. BUT ALAS! Innocent Indians being blown to deaths on trains, streets, bazaars, buses… is but only a ‘collateral damage’ for this UPA government in their ‘Nobel Pursuit’ of keeping the ‘Communal Forces’ at bay!!!
I wish to draw your attention to the noise ‘Sec-Soc’ media made when the Mumbai Police rounded up the ‘usual suspects’ and our BaliDaan Moorti’s advice for the Police in being ’sensitive’ to the ‘feelings’ of ‘minorities’ brought the investigations to the grinding halt.
Recently, Jaipur was rocked and again 88 people paid with their lives, the cost for ‘maintaining Nehurvian Secularism’ alive.
Possibly NewYork, London, Madrid are not secular enough cities! How about exchanging ‘our secular flock’ with their ‘communal’ ones?
Good Riddance it sure will be.
PI.
NK…
True…MMS should have stayed away from the G8 on both those occassions and registered our strong protest.
The fact remains, the Govt. Of India, does not care at all for us Indian citizens, if we die no problems, there are other Billion Indians whom this political class can hoodwink.
For the sake of arguement, I also wish to draw everybody’s attnetion to the Danish cartoon issue, OUR SECULAR government snubbed the Danish PM, who was to visit India on a state visit, just to appease the sentiments of the Muslims.
This is not done, we welcome, anybody and everybody who bashes Hindus.
Why wasn’t the consent of the Majority population and in this case Christians taken into account before cancelling that trip by the Danish PM?
So much for Secularism?????
To cut this short, bring in leaders like Narendra Modi at the helm of affairs and see how this terror threat’s and act’s are minimized to zero.
We desparetly need people like him in charge of the Home Ministry.
Let this govt fall and a new nationalistic govt be formed in New Delhi. We should do a couple of things.
1) All of us who are eligible for voting, must get voter ids in time and vote on the voting day.
2) Encourage our friends, relatives, family members, neighbours to come out and vote and not go on vacations. Resposibility lies with us. If we do not vote and Muslims votes en bloc, they we will again get a sick-ul-arse in power.
3) Start preparing a list of achievements of this govt, under various categories: terrorism, economics, corruption, anti-Hinduism aka secularism etc.
We should keep posting infomation on this in the lounge thread. Prepare a good short summary and keep it ready for the charged atmosphere before the elections.
—————————————————-
Some of the achivements which come to my mind are:
1) Economics:
————-
a) Banking reforms, pension reforms, power sector reforms – all are blocked.
b) No substancial work on Golden Quadrilateral
c) Infation nearing 13%, high interest rates leading to high EMI for those who have outstanding home loans
2) Secularism:
————–
a) Ram-Setu controversy
b) Denying the existence of Lord Ram, ridiculing the faith of Hindus
c) Amarnath controversy
3) Corrpution:
————–
a) De-freezing the accounts of Quatrocchi
b) Recent controversy involving the son of Shivraj Patil
c) Corruption in Health Ministry, NREG scheme (incidentally the scheme is best implemented in BJP governed states)
d) Office of profit controversy
4) Democracy:
————-
a) Installed Pratibha Patil instead of Dr Kalam
b) Murder of democracy in Goa, Nagaland etc.
5) Terrorism:
————-
a) Repeal of POTA
b) Not haging Afzal Guru
c) Numerous blasts (make a list)
d) Return of medals by the family members of those killed in Parliament attack
—————————————————-
Please mofidy, edit, append to the above list in the lounge and keep it ready for the chain email during the elections. Perhaps Yossarin can make a comrehensive post on all the achievements in a manner everyone can understand.
NK….
U missed few of essential points over here:
1. The Identity of Sonia Gandhi and pariwar
2. The role of the Left parties in Chinese incursions
3. The Role of the Main stream media.
These points must NEVER escape our thoughts, I firmly believe that above all these have played an important role in compromising the national security of the nation.
I agree with you, that all above points, must be sent as email to all, whom we know.
Jiggs, that is why I said, we need to prepare a comprehensive list of achievements. Please add/delete/modify the list.
Yossarin
Seriously even assuming that the preperators are nailed through systematic and meticulous investigation(which Indian police system has occassionally shown to be capable of ) and Supreme court pronounces a judgement, what could have been the outcome?
The flourishing cottage industry comprising the human right activist, jholawalas, left liberals, influential section of MSM ,documentary film makers,Nandita Das/Azmi couple and sundry others would have closed ranks ,rallied around the accused and held the Indian state to ransom .Manmohan would have suffered sleepless nights. It would have spawned a huge commercial enterprise involving production of documentaries,books,CBN-INC/NDTV special shows.
Infact Shekhar Gupta of IE pretty clearly summarised what the secular intelligenstia feels about the victims of the blast.Gupta communally counted the dead bodies of the victims and postulated that preponderance of the upper class Gujarati dead bodies signified justice in a certain sense
Honestly the Mumbai bombblast signfies nothing but 1.3 billion subtracted by 214 . Mathematically inconsequential
MAINO and MAINOMOHAN SINGH (electile dysfunctional), though ELECTILE is a misnomer because MAINOMORON was never elected. HE WAS SELECTED BY HIS WHITE FEMALE BOSS FROM ITALY ,TO BE HER HEAD SLAVE, from the state of Assam which cannot even be pronounced properly by the ITALIAN illeterate parasite.
OFFCOURSE THE DEAD ARE HINDUS AND BROWNS AND DO NOT COUNT FOR THE CUNTS. After every terrorist outrage SECURITY FOR THE BARMAID is increased. The cabaret dancers of World Christian Council/CIA, the TIMES OF ITALY (INDIA) in fact next day came up with a MODI angle about the Bombay blasts, about the Gujarati Businessmen travelling at that timne of blast (Offcourse had I been in power I would have pounced on these pigshit worms and whore/gig duo of TOI proprieters, as THEY ARE CONNIVERS SINCE THEY KNEW THESE DETAILS). Another so called coincidence, that this TRAITORS OF INDIA FAMILY took over Vijay Times just a day before the Mumbai blasts.
Would it not be good that we follow the example of MEDIALENS in UK. We have different friends list, just take such nefarious, diabolical articles of these TIE WEARING GIGOLOS AND WHORES entertainers of Terrorists, ISI, CIA, MAFIA called media goons and just send to all on our individual lists, everytime asking people to boycott these nefarious MSM dirtfilths, because after all IT IS THESE PARASITE GOOD FOR NOTHING FILTHY IDIOTS WHO NEED WE SMALL PEOPLE ON WHOSE BLOOD MONEY THESE FOOLS FATTEN, NOT US, WHOM THEY THINK AS COMMON MAN. AFTER ALL NOBODY EVEN REQUIRES TOI, IE OR NDTV, CNN-IBN TO SURVIVE.
However they will DIE if they are killed by boycott, because they are good at only shitpot cleaning and that is banned by law in India so nobody lawfully cannot hire.
Why do Gujaratis (or Indians) allow the yellow sheet of IE and TOI and the AMRA BANGALI NDTV in Gujarat, BEHEAD THE RABID IE, TOI,NDTV, IBN, SAHARA dogs there, it would be minus some thousand rabid dogs out of few million dogs. In fact is it not a duty of Municipal Corporations to kill rabid dogs, seeing the MSM, it seems that Corporations are not doing the job, maybe the money meant for removing the rabid dogs from civilised society is all being eaten up, SO THAT WE HAVE THE LIKES OF “SEWER” GUPTA (NOW PHILLIPOISE), RAM PUNYANI, TEESTA SEET-ALWAD(AATANKWAD), PROOO-NOOY ROY, SOGORIKA GHOST stalking the society WITH RABIES
I had written this piece in my diary right after the 2 minute silence in memory of the victims.
“2 minutes of silence– is that all that the people who died in the blasts are going to receive as an acknowledgement from the government? Are we always going to have a state machinery that is reactive rather than proactive, that gives out knee jerk comments at the time of occurrence and once public memory starts fading goes back on auto pilot?
I have a few questions to put to different sections:
WHEN WILL POLITICIANS PUT THE COUNTRY ABOVE THEIR PARTY POLITICS?
FOR HOW LONG WILL CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY BE TREATED AS NOTHING MORE THAN VOTE BANKS?
WHY IS MULAYAM SINGH YADAV OPENLY SIDING AND SUPPORTING SIMI?
DOES A CONCEPT OF INDIA EVEN EXIST IN THE MIND OF THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY?
WHY DO WE KEEP PAYING TAXES TO A GOVT WHICH DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE LIVES OF ITS CITIZENRY?
THE SPIRIT OF MUMBAI IS NOTHING BUT A CONVENIENT CARPET FOR POLITICIANS AND MEDIA ALIKE TO BRUSH THEIR INEFFICIENCY.WHAT THEY DO NOT REALISE IS IT’S A MATTER OF SURVIVAL – IF THE DAILY WAGE EARNER DOES NOT DO WORK FOR ONE DAY HE/SHE CANNOT FEED HIS FAMILY.
Enough is enough. The government has to be given back to the people, to whom it rightfully belongs. For far too long has governance been in the hands of incompetent bureaucracy and uneducated politicians who are far more interested in fattening their wallets than in administering the nation.
If after nearly 60 years of Independence:
– We still have to provide for quotas in our educational institutions,
– Our farmers have to commit suicide because the money lenders got too impatient and the cooperative banks either refused to give loans or pressurized them to repay the original loans first,
– Naxals are commandeering entire states and have their own parallel system of government because the original one failed to deliver,
– Our cities are spilling onto streets and roads because the relevant authorities did not have the imagination to plan for future growth,
– Our infrastructure is pathetic – the nation’s capital has power shortages for entire days, our children do not go to school and have one of the highest drop out rates because of a) unaffordability b) the harsh school environment and c) unavailability of inputs like teachers, benches and school books
– Our judicial system has not evolved with the times and made changes to incorporate new technologies and introduce new laws which are in keeping with the changing sensibilities of the nation – then we have failed collectively as a nation.
THEN WE ARE DOOMED TO BE RESIGNED TO THE DUSTBINS OF HISTORY.
I agree with u Y..
bhanu….
I share your angst….After seeing those horrifying scenes at Jogeshwari stn, those burnt up fellow citizens, man…cant decribe the level of my anger at the system in which we live.
More especially, when Antonia Maino came to TAKE STOCK OF THE SITUATION….
The worst days of my entire life, I dont believe, I will see anything more horrendous in the years to come.
That is why I advocate EYE FOR AN EYE …Policy, I say handover the security establishment to the Israelis, hand it over, there is no harm/shame in learning few things 60 years after Independence.
The fact is we have failed repeatedly to protect our own citizenary from such horrendous acts.

Evolution is the way of Dharma. And of Democracy.
IMO, expecting revolutions from a BJP in power while gratifying, are also unrealistic.
The evolutionary change is gradual, but likely to be more long lasting and sustainable.
We should and shall see the monstrous edifice of sickular minorityism abate. it has already peaked and is now in its last throes, IMHO. Gradually, Hindu rights shall return to full glory. One step at a time.

Jiggs, amazing info on ms miano, wouldnt this make her the manchurian candidate, oh wait I mean the cossack candidate ? =)
Yossarin, Jiggs:
I am going through the http://www.janataparty.org/sonia.html site and I find these sentences a intriguing and a bit disturbing:
“But who stopped the CBI from registering an FIR? The Vajpayee government! And why? Thereby hangs another tale. ”
“Since I failed to persuade the Vajpayee government to defend India’s treasures from plunder by the Mainos, I approached the Delhi High Court in a PIL.”
“Why was he [CBI counsel] appointed as the CBI’s counsel by the Vajpayee government in the first place? The Vajpayee-Sonia mutual assistance pact is thus in full view in this episode.”
Is this guy actually stating the truth, or is he talking non-sense? I guess this needs independent confirmation and some basic research.
There was some deal between Vajpayee and Sonia.
I don’t trust vaypayee.

But is BJP really any better ? Have they taken up the terrorism matter anymore convincingly. Yes BJP in power would decelerate the rate of dehinduization of this country, absolutely nothing more. Remember it was during NDA rule that anti-Hindu movement in this country started gaining ground. I am afraid the Hindu society must brace itself for resistance or gradually decline.
I hope BJP doesnt get the attitude of “You dont have an option– If you are scared of Mullahs and Evangelists, you will anyway vote for us!”
well for one advani is way more hard core than vajpayee, so i think we can expect something good if BJP comes to power especially Modi as home minister.
@Kedar
Thatz where the influence of Sangh over BJP comes in handy. I feel this influence ultimately re-fills the gap created by the dilution of BJP by Party hoppers and congi style functioning. This and the sangh’s ground work are the reasons why MSM is very keen in dividing a wedge between BJP & RSS.
BJP does not have a great record on anti-terrorism, the M.O.D. on the other hand has demolished terror networks in Gujurat. Cant wait for for the fireworks once M.O.D. takes charge as PM or home minister =)
well said aryan,
I would not blame BJP on the whole, Advani as home minister was also 80% effective. the advani-modi combo will be great. Thats the way Modi can rise, become home minister and then slowly rise to the top.
People rush to add terrorism cover to insurance policies

Narendra modi on amarnath
I share everyone’s anguish over the poor handling by the “secular” media.
Unfortunately, we dont have an alternative.
Lets be clear guys, when the BJP was in power, it too did not do anything else (in stark contrast, it is only Modi’s gujarat that is terror free).
Even now, the BJPs response to security issues is so lily livered, its not funny.
Why is’nt the BJP raking the congress over the coals at the second anniversary? Why isn’t the opposition asking the homme minister for a justification for “zero arrests” ( a sick alternative to Guiliani’s “zero tolerance”)
Why isn’t the Shiv Sena taking to the streets for the hindu lives lost?
Heck, why isn’t the BJP asking the congress on the nuke deal in strident terms the following questions:
1. If your own planning commission says nuc power is only 7%, why is the PM focusing on the 7% and forgetting about the remaining 93%.
That he is, means hes not sincere about energy security.
2. Why isn’t he liberalising coal india, setting up a solar policy?
3. If he is indeed behind the nuke, why is he tying india down to get 7% power?
The official response from LKA was so weak, its shameful!
When even people like us can ask such hard questions without much political experience, it is fair enough to expect, even with the amount of limited coverage BJP gets, Advani and Co. to ask these questions and bring the truth out in a better and more effective manner.
Blaming MSM is just a ruse.
Why doesnt Advani dissect MMS and Sonia on their misrule as Yossarin has done when there are open proofs?
What is stopping them?
@Kedar/Nishka/ARYAN…..
What has been written by Dr. S.Swamy is the TRUTH….He can back it up and if google any of that stuff …you will get ample evidence of that….
Sample this….
Antonia Maino-Gandhi lied to the parliament from 1998, the mandatory affidavit for contesting elections said that she has passed out from Cambridge, which now is proven otherwise.
Dr. Swamy forced Antonia to accept this on the floor of the parliament.
And ABV stalling the request is also the truth…..
Look guys we are all sangh pariwar supporters, however, it is our KARMA to uphold the truth.RIGHT YOSSARIN
No matter what we will vote for our chosen party and let the lotus bloom again in India, however,BJP too has a chequered past..Lets not forget this.
Dr. Swamy is an important member in the Hindutva cog wheel, he talks only facts.
I will post another OLD article by S Gurumurthy on Antonia, this came in the TOI in 2004, I printed 10000 copies of it and I stood at the railway stations in Mumbai and distributed them.
Yossarin….I need your permission to post that article as it is very long…Pls. advice….
Sadhvi Ritumbra,a true saint and a core patriot had called vajpayee ‘aadhaa kangressi’ and rightly so!
remember,it was vajpayee and his right hand brajesh mishra, who bailed out rahul gandhi, when he was apprehended by the boston airport cops, along with his venenzuelan girl friend veronica, for carrying contraband……..Had vajpayee not cultivated his personal image at the cost of the party and the country, maino and her crossbreeds wud have been decimated today!
In fact one of the reason cited by my friends for not voting at all (in addition to their indolence and too much of WIFE PLEASING of their “modern wives” during the 3 day holiday when elections were held)WAS PRECISELY NOT BANNING FOREIGNERS FROM HOLDING CONSTITUTIONAL POSITION, after promising the same.
LKA however has a much better record compared to ABV as ABV had a soft corner for MAINO MAFIOSI
Folks,
Noble sentiments apart, let us not be naive about how the murky world of democratic politics anywhere in the world, really works. And especially so in a country where fighting even a municipal election costs almost a crore in personal wealth.
Every key player and party has ‘dirt’ on every other such player. Its a classic Mexican standoff and it is only here that the system is in equilibrium.
Hence, when push comes to shove, these key players’ informal networks swing into action and help each other out. (Anyone watched the movie ’skulls’ about Yale’s secret society?).
Ask yourself why a VP Singh who comes to power over Rajiv’s corruption does nothing substantial, really, when in power to prosecute and arrest and jail Rajiv? Why doesn’t a Nitish get Laloo arrested or a Rane get Thackeray arrested?
IG’s jailing political opponents in the emergency, Jaya’s trying to get MK arrested etc are the rare breakdowns of this pact that prove the rule, IMHO.
Which, btw, is also a reason why the political establishment (inluding the BJP’s professional netas) in general is $hit scared of RSS pracharak types, like Modi for instance, who may not play by these unspoken rules.
JMTs.
I think these 2 steps were mistakes by US government
Sept 19 – U.S. Congress starts debate on Patriot Act to empower government
Sept 20 – Homeland security role created
Of course, 9/11 was caused by an insane foreign policy. Iraq has shown they have not learnt their lessons. India’s situation is a bit different.
Folx….
My grouse against the 1999-2004 NDA government is basic:
1. No law created to tackle a situation called Antonia Maino.
This is as we all know, the single largest threat to our national security, in view of her murky past in Europe and in India.
Other, ills facing our country were also not effectively answered by our very own NDA government, but that can wait, however, this joker regarding Maino, should have been sorted out then and there.
hmm… excellent, as usual. keep up the gr8 work yoss boss
