When Sonia Gandhi breaks her sphinx like silence to talk of Terrorism it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. For those wondering why here is an Offstumped refresher which should also serve as a reminder for why questions of her patriotism and foreign origin are fair game.

Sonia Gandhi owes the nation an explanation for her silence on the Mumbai Blasts failing which one can only conclude that Sonia Gandhi has consistently put partisan political interest and minority appeasement above National Interest. If the opposition makes her foreign origin a political issue, it is but fair game for National Interest doesn?t count very high in her grand scheme of things.
Next consider this post from Offstumped on 26th August 2007 chronicling how Sonia Gandhi’s deliberately pandered to Muslim special interest groups by diluting what little anti-terrorism infrastructure existed in the country.

By making this about a political contest on who has a worse terror record the Congress has insulted the memory of every one of those brave men and women in uniform who shed their blood defending our freedoms and the memory of those deceased law abiding citizens who defied the fear mongering to go on with their way of life despite terror threats. The victims of terror must speak up and demand answers and justice of the Manmohan Singh UPA Government. Tolerating this delinquency would be fatal to the nation.

There are large number of people who aren’t going to use RSS feed to keep up to date on your blog. Also, people don’t usually remember to visit the website daily.

Instead of telling the country how the govt has provided for its citizens’ security, she is incessantly harping on the Kandahar hijack and the attack on Parliament.
Elsewhere in your posts you have differentiated between these attacks and the mass civilian attacks such as 7/11, Malegaon, Hyderabad bomb blasts. In both the hijack episode and the Parliament attack the perps knew that they would face defensive fire, they knew what they were getting into. But the other attacks on unarmed, innocent civilians reeks of unadulterated terrorism where they knew that their victims could not fight back – ever.
Also do you know that the govt has shelved the anti hijack law which the CCS had passed on Aug 14, 2005.

This law would have cleared the way for death for the hijackers and downing of the hijacked aircraft.Also no bureaucratic hassles and no negotiations.This would mean amending the ANTI HIJACK Law OF 1982.
